Julie Chen Moonves hosts the sensational summer reality series Big Brother, which returned to its 22nd season from in August, with CBS.Chen Moonves was one of the original hosts of the Emmy-nominated Daytime talk program The Talk, serving as host and moderator from the year 2010 until 2018. Her writing background was evident before becoming host, but her love of writing was for the written word. In fact, it brought her an Emmy. The Talk, her outstanding talk show brought her an Emmy. The Talk is a show that examines current events with five female hosts. Chen Moonves co-hosted CBS Newsthe weekday morning show The Early Show in 2002 in 2010 and then became the host of the talk show. Her previous roles included anchoring the CBS Morning News and The Early Show. Chen Moonves was assigned to Cairo following the events of the 9/11 attacks. There, she tracked down and talked to the father of hijackers for an eye-opening and interesting interview. Chen Moonves has interviewed newsmakers including the former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and queen Rania of Jordan and former Defence Secretary William Cohen, and celebrities including Denzel Washington, Angelina Jolie, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Viola Davis, Tom Hanks, Mary J. Blige, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Cruise, Ben Affleck, Barbra Streisand, Betty White, Jamie Foxx, Scarlett Johansson, Katie Holmes, Matthew McConaughey, Chris Rock, Mel Brooks, Robert DeNiro, and Jennifer Lopez. Chen Moonves covered the Emmy Award-winning CBS Sunday Morning News show. He also interviewed celebrities such as Jamie Lee Curtis or Paula Abdul. Before joining The Early Show he was an CBS owned station reporter for New York City, WCBS. Previous jobs included working as a reporter with ABC NewsOne, the network's associated news service (1992-1995) and a desk-assistant in ABC News' Los Angeles Bureau (1990-1991), all while finishing her last year of college at The University of Southern California. As a desk assistant, she worked in ABC News' Nightline program with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel remains as one of her journalist idols. Chen Moonves and Ted Koppel worked together for Anatomy of a Riot - the primetime TV special which won the Columbia du-Pont award - which focused on the Los Angeles riots of 1992.
